Training Day 22nd May

The Open Training Day held on Sunday 22nd May at Catton Park in Staffordshire was heralded as a great success by BTRDA President, Mike Broad.

Entrants came from far and wide to take part in the AutoSolo, Car Trials and Sporting Trials training, some to hone their skills with the expert tuition from current BTRDA Champions Ian Wright, Nick Pollitt and Alastair Moffatt, but the majority were complete newcomers to motor sport who were able to try out the Champions' cars as well as their own roadgoing cars, including two entrants from Essex who had seen the preview article in Motorsport News.

The MSA's Ben Taylor came to observe the event and ended up having a go at all 3 sports, showing no lack of commitment and skill in trialling particularly.

Commenting after the event, Mike Broad was impressed by the enthusiasm of the 50 or so participants, all sampling his tag line for the BTRDA – "Serious Fun!" Mike asked when the next Training Day would be – watch this space!
