Wyre Forest Trial

Event Report

Neil Mackay finally brings the AX home in 1st place overall in attrocious conditions that gave rise to a vast array of scores. Whilst not normally fond of competing in the rain, Neil found the ground conditions perfect for the AX, aided by Jim Lock's tireless support as passenger.

Kidderminster Motor Car Club's Wyre Forest Car Trial went ahead on Sunday 12 June despite the incessant rain. A round of the MSA, BTRDA, AWMMC, ANWCC, ACSMC and CMSG Car Trial Championships, the event was confined to 3 rounds in deference to the marshals, without whom the trial may not have run.

The 8 sections had been expertly set out for the appalling conditions, with plenty of width allowing scope for exploiting different lines but offering numerous critical points to master. Fortunately the previously dry conditions meant that the ground was firm underneath the soaking grass and no cars were left stranded at the bottom of the field. The paddock was left unscarred too, which was a bonus.

The results posted here are currently Provisional as they were unable to be published at the close of the event due to rather soggy score cards!
