Wye Valley Trial
Event Report
Duncan Stephens won the Wye Valley Car Trial in his Classic Trials prepared Dutton Melos losing just five marks all day. Dave Oliver, on just seven marks in his Imp, missed out by just 2% on index. Ross and District had found a new venue, so local knowledge was not a factor – however, Alastair Moffatt who lives less than a mile away proved that the family Nova is good in any hands by winning Class Two by a distance. Nick Pollitt brought his VW Lupo to this event and took his customary win in the unballasted class.
Steve Courts had an unusual ‘off' day and Bill Moffatt pipped him to second place in Class Three behind Dave Oliver's similar car. The Roberts family from Bala gave Stephens a run for his money in their Dutton Phaeton, but Brian finished on 12 and Kevin on 26.

Our second "Summer" trial brings with it a new venue – always an intriguing challenge. Situated between Newent and Redmarley, the site is considered to be smooth and very suitable for all classes of car. We have high expectations for a good turnout for this event and would draw your attention the the maximum entry as stated in the SR's – so do, please, get your entries in early either online or by more conventional means.
