Plans for 2008 within motorsport – Latvian RallySprint Championship, Latvian National Rally Championship, Selected BTRDA Rally Championship events, Clerk of Course on Starlight Novice Road Rally, BTRDA Motorsport Future Projects

What is the average cost of an event you compete on – Typical event entry fee for Latvian events is £200, for BTRDA Rallies is £600

How did you get started in motorsport – I was raised on rallying, my Dad was always competing, organising and marshalling on rallies when I was growing up so it is simply a way of life for me.

When was you first event – My first event was when I was 14 years old and a Novice Road Rally organised by my local car club ( Wolverhampton and South Staffs) called the Starlight novice Road Rally, we won the beginners class and were placed higher than most of my Dads friends! 13 years later I am now Clerk of the course on the same event!

How long have you been involved in motorsport – 13 years competing, but been involved for the whole of my life!

High points of your involvement – I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to co-drive in the World Rally Championship for two years, and even managed to win 3 WRC points, making me the second British female to do so ever!

Low points – every single retirement, and there have been many. Sometimes mechanical failures are even more disappointing than retirement through driver error!

Strangest experience – There have been many, however sunbathing on a beach in Cyprus when I should have been sweating inside a rally car would be one of the better stories.

Future plans – To stay competing but move over to organising and supporting the sport that has given me so many good friends and experiences. I would also like to have a go at driving in a couple of Autotests later on in the year.
