The Stone Trough trial formed the second part of the inaugural Yorkshire Sport Car Club trials weekend and Uglow continued his domination of their trials, with his fifth win in six events. Crews were disappointed not to get better conditions as the Dales continued to be battered and the previous days tough conditions reduced the entry. Uglow led from the start but was kept on his toes by John Fack who was pleased to finish the trials after two retirements the last two weekends. Mike Salton won his class from Mark Campbell both driving superbly with contrasting styles in their live axle Concord’s. Simon Kingsley had recovered from the previous days mistakes to finish fifth having won this trial in the Autumn. David Hailes was just outside the top ten in eleventh. Mark Campbell finished top club competitor when the best possible score could have been just four points.
