Presidents Trophy Sporting Trial

Event Report

Ian Wright won his first event of the year as he took the Presidents Trial victory.

In dry conditions Ian led the day from start to finish to take take a narrow one point win over Peter Fensom. Simon Kingsley was Wrights closest challenger in round one but fell away as the day progressed to end up in 4th overall. Roland Uglow recovered from a relatively poor first round to come through to take the final spot on the podium.

Ross Bruce took his first class win as a Red Live Axle driver. Paul Faulkner competing on home turf took a superb 5th position overall and with it the blue IRS prize beating Andy Wilks to the honor. Alan Baker took the spoils in the Blue live class from Phil Blagdon who took home a couple of Bristish championship points finishing in 14th overall in the National B event.

For the first time this year Darren Underwood was beaten to the Rookie award by Paul Marsh.
