Johnson

Event Report

Ian Veale won the Johnson sporting trial at Eaton on Sunday, the penultimate round of the BTRDA and British championship by climbing every hill and not incurring any penalty points. At lunch time five drivers were still clear when tyre pressures were altered to reduce grip which took marks off all but Veale. 2011 British champion Ian Bell bounced back from the disappointment of the Fedden trial to finish second dropping just two points ahead of Tom Bricknell who dropped just three points. George Watson won the intermediate class for the time finishing a brilliant fourth overall ahead of fellow intermediate class driver and his cars first owner Paul Price in extremely dry conditions. Josh Veale once again won the novice class finishing in twelfth overall from the all girl crew of Jess Fack and Beth Carroll who had to wait for her uncle to arrive at the start with her Dad's car!
