Steve Courts won the historic Gloucester sporting trial on Sunday to beat Andy Wilks and Monty Peters by just a single point, with Wilks having his second second in two weeks.

 

Despite icy conditions grip wasn't a problem producing a low scoring day dominated by intermediate class drivers with Andy Bell and Richard Robarts completing the top five. Ian Bell upheld expert honours in sixth place overall, all the top six in different types of car and finished the British championship in third overall at the final round. Arthur Carroll won the novice class for the sixth successive time in an entry of thirty.
