Event Report
The BTRDA and MSA Sporting Trials Championship final event of the year saw a resounding first championship win of the season for Simon Kingsley, making his long journey from Knaresborough in North Yorkshire well worth while. Simon, with regular passenger Jo Edwards, dropped just five marks over the 24 sections.
Early leader Peter Fensom was second on 11 marks from Roland Uglow on 14 putting three Crosslés on the podium. Roland's third place was just enough for him to overhaul Ian Wright and take second place in the British Championship. New Champion Ian Bell had a disappointing day to finish in 8th overall on 22 marks.
Jerome Fack (SRB) won the Intermediate class on 17 marks, with Motorsport News reporter James Bolton in the passenger seat in 5th overall and top family member, ahead of Paul Price (CAP) on 23 points and 9th place overall.
In 7th place overall on 20 marks lost was Josh Veale in his Sherpa, with brother Sandy in the passenger seat finishing top live axle and beating the 2011 British sporting trials champion Ian Bell to win the novice class for the last time before promotion ahead of Alan Fullalove.
