David Ayres – L&NC CC
Event Report
Roger Bricknell continued his superb form of that last two weeks at the David Ayres sporting trial, to finish ahead of Yorkshire's Simon Kingsley who had his best result of the year.
Duncan Stephens was fortunate and unlucky to finish third having broken the rear shock absorber having pulled wishbone from its mounting following a new bolt failing. John Fack who wasnt taking part due to illness but was on site kindly leant Duncan his shock absorber and wishbone mounting bolt. However running late was penalised twelve marks, costing Duncan the double win over the weekend.
MSA Championship leader Ian Wright was close behind in fourth, just ahead of intermediate class winner Mark Seward and Monty Peters, a repeat of the class positions the day before.
Tim Edwards was a brilliant novice class winner trickling superbly on the bumpy long grass to finish an excellent thirteenth well ahead of Ian Evitt.
