John Fack recruited his old passenger of nearly twenty years previously and reigning Gold Star champion, Duncan Stephens, to make it a double win for the weekend in Cornwall. Reigning British champion Thomas Bricknell made a rare appearance of the year to lead at lunch with just four points with some wonderful trickling over all the washboard bumps at Marshgate, but straight after lunch dropped a costly five to slip behind Fack who cleaned all but two hills all day. Andy Wilks had a perfect last two rounds in the blistering sunshine to grab the final podium place at the end of the twenty two sections. Peter McKinney won the intermediate class with an excellent fourth overall ahead of Roger Bricknell who was top live axle in his aging Facksimile who also had a perfect last fifteen hills. Mike Readings finished in ninth place to secure runner up place in the intermediate class. Richard Sharp made it a double novice class win over the weekend with thirteenth overall on another tight scoring day, ahead of John Cole. Regular passenger James Tancock retained the award for highest clubman in twenty third overall with some brilliant climbs.
