Wye Valley Trial re-scheduled to 12th August

Event Report

Dave Oliver won the Wye Valley Car Trial by a huge margin, having dropped only 86points to the next competitor's 121. A heavy thunder shower held the start up for half an hour but the other three classes all saw very close battles. Nick Pollitt was back out in the repaired Saxo VTR and led championship leader Barrie Parker all day by a handful of marks. John Moffatt and Duncan Stephens continued their Nova battle, been separated by five at the end despite both making a costly error at the same nine! The highly modified class was very hotly contested with the top four closely matched with Paul Bartleman's MK1 Escort just beating Ian Moss' Imp.

1 Dave Oliver, Imp, 75.4%
2 John Moffatt, Vauxhall Nova, 86.0%
3 Nick Pollitt, Citroen Saxo, 87.4%
4 Duncan Stephens, Vauxhall Nova, 88.9%
5 Paul Bartleman, Ford Escort, 89.9%
6 Ian Moss, Hillman Imp, 92.4%
7 Barrie Parker, Toyota MR2, 92.7%
8 Ray Jacobs, Citroen AX, 99.2%
9 Paul Manning, Vauxhall Nova, 100.3%
