Steve Courts wins on home ground! A combination of day-long concentration, super car preparation and an intimate knowledge of the site rewarded Steve with a deserved victory, losing only 6 points all day.

Steve Courts won the Warwickshire Car Trial at Burton Dassett in surprisingly dry conditions following a morning long battle with Dave Oliver, who had won the trial for the last four years, before Oliver's clutch failed during the afternoon. The front wheel drive class had the top six drivers covered by just four points halfway through the day with Barrie Parker's inspired third round winning him the class by just a single point from Duncan Stephens, with Colin Reid and Rupert North within another six points. The new car class saw Simon Harris borrow Nick Pollitt's Skoda Fabia and beat him on a tie-break of most zero's! The modified class also resulted in Dave Smith and Nigel Weeks been level on scores with Smith winning on the tie-break too.
