Nick Pollitt excelled when debuting his VW Lupo GTI at a very dry Warwickshire trial to finish a clear winner overall. Pollitt opened a massive fifty point lead in his class, trickling some very steep hills ahead of Trevor Clarke who had his best day and result to date to win the new car class by a single point from Tim Beard. Duncan Stephens took an early lead in his Nova which he maintained for the remaining three rounds to win the class from Neil Mackay. Burton Dassett specialist Dave Oliver faced some extremely tough hills in his Imp and managed to win his class from Barrie Parker. Colin Francis won the highly modified class following Kevin Roberts' Dutton's broken differential.
