Ivinghoe Spring Trial
Event Report
Dave Oliver won the first running of the Ivinghoe Spring trial run by Falcon Motor Club, the event name reflecting the new venue.
Oliver had a day long scrap with Barrie Parker and Steve Courts, all of whom were covered by just six points in the rear wheel drive class; they finished in that order.
The new car class saw another close battle between John Wadsworth and John Waddington, sharing a Ford Ka, with just nine points splitting them at the end from Mike Trim on a day that started extremely slippery under tyre but dried rapidly.
The front wheel drive class saw 2012 champion John Moffatt return after a year's sabatical following the birth of his son Ben but a customary class win despite not getting off the startline of a hill on the first round! Rupert North has had a busy winter with a complete engine rebuild of his Mini engine and pushed Moffatt all day. John shared his Nova with his dad, Bill, who finished third in class.
