HCC Wales Car Trial
Event Report
Double Parking? A Winning Welsh Weekend for Barrie as he wins the HCC Wales Car Trial and provisionally wins the MSA British Car Trials Championship 2011. The HCC Wales trial saw Parker gradually open out a seventeen point lead on Dave Walker who is now driving his Corsa in the new car class with skill which was enough to put them first and fourth overall. Duncan Stephens produced some inspired climbs on the first four sections, but a late mistake in the afternoon handed the class to John Moffatt by five points. It was Moffatt's nephew Paul Manning that starred though, finishing a brilliant third in class and eighth overall in only his third event. Steve Courts got the better of Dave Oliver and Bill Moffatt in the rear wheel drive class following an uncharacteristic mistake from Oliver.

The HCC Wales Car Trial concludes our Welsh Weekends for 2011 and will again be at the new site for the club, used in April for the Dennis Wells Memorial Trial. We are hopeful that more land will be made available, offering a greater variety of surfaces and challenges.
