Ernest Owen Car Trial
Event Report
Dave Oliver won his first trial in his faithful championship winning Imp this year at the Ernest Owen trial at Catton Park having great day to finish seven points ahead of Steve Courts. Duncan Stephens used his Dutton Melos to finish second overall despite a couple of car problems on a day where a heavy dew on long grass made for extremely slippery conditions. Rupert North slowly opened out a nine point advantage on site specialist Simon Harris' Golf, using the Mini size to his advantage. Tim Beard won the new car class from fellow car driver David Allman in fifth overall by twenty points.
