Dave Oliver excelled at the Dennis Wells Car Trial on Sunday winning overall from Duncan Stephens who was struggling with the size of his Nova on the tight sections. Exceptionally dry conditions aided smaller cars, with Rupert North doing extremely well finishing third overall in his little Mini. The new car class went down to the last hill with Dave Thomas beating Derek Barnes by five marks. Kevin Roberts inherited the modified car class in his hard work Peugeot 106 rally car.
