Event Report

The 2016 MSA and Demon Tweeks BTRDA Autotest Championships kicked off at Curborough with the H&DLCC event. The winner could have come from any one of four drivers as the lead changed hands several times. In the end it was Richard Pinkney (Caterham 7) who led at the end. Paul Fobister (Haigh Special) led after the first round of tests but it was Dave Evans (Blitz) in the lead at lunch. Pinkney led after round three and when Evans had a slow time and two penalties on his last test the battle was over. Fobister also collected a penalty on his last round which let Dave Mosey through to second place by a mere 0.8 second. The two Scottish Nova drivers, Warren Gillespie and Willie Keening battled for the large saloon honours.
