Event Report

The Alwoodley M.C. Nic Ayre Memorial Autotest took place in blistering heat at  Sherburn Proving Ground a second successive FTD at this event for Richard Pinkney, his first, almost trouble free event of 2018. Despite a penalty on the first test, and a temporary ‘builders’ style’ repair necessary on a suspension wishbone, Richard eased into an unassailable lead at the lunch break, despite the efforts but uncharacteristic penalties by early leader Malcolm Livingston, and other front runners Dave Mosey and Chris Chapman, and the very close attention of Steve Morten, failed to make an impression, which hopefully has brought an end to Pinkney’s run of bad luck.
