‘I am absolutely thrilled to be the Under 17's Car Club winner of the Drive scholarship with BTRDA. It's an amazing opportunity for anyone, but at only 16 years old it could change the direction I take in the future. My Dad is really proud of me for winning, and is totally up for being my taxi to the events for the year!'

‘Deciding the winner was a very difficult process today' commented BTRDA Motorsports Future Member Andy Gowen, ‘the eight drivers that the Under 17's Car Club put forward were all of an exceptionally high quality, not only in driving ability but also in interview techniques and media relations. We would like to offer our sincere congratulations to Julian, and look forward to introducing him to BTRDA over the year.'

Another Motorsports Future member extended an invitation to all the unsuccessful finalists to ‘prove us wrong over the next 12 months, and come along to the events, take up the challenge and beat Julian!'
