Sophie uses Humphris Micra at Oxford Solo

Oxford Motor Club will hold their Autumn AutoSolo on Sunday 11th October at Silverstone Race Circuit which counts as the final round of the Cotswold Championship and penultimate round of the BTRDA Autosolo challenge.

Humphris (Oxford) Ltd who have sponsored the BTRDA Drive program in 2009 will be hiring a car to local driver Sophie Bennett.

Sophie Bennett, also from Oxford, who turned seventeen last weekend won the Under 17 Car Club seat within BTRDA Drive in February beating nine other finalists. During the year she has developed the skills taught to her by the Under 17 car club, and also StuntDriveUK who specifically trained the skills needed for the disciplines of motorsport she has experienced this year.

The motorsport department of Humphris (Oxford) have developed the BTRDA Nissan Micra during the year with Sophie winning the class in her penultimate event of the BTRDA Drive calendar.

Humphris will now be hiring Sophie another development Micra specifically for the Oxford Motor Club Autumn Autosolo.

Sophie's father Paul Bennett said that winning the Under 17 Car Club seat within BTRDA Drive has been fantastic for Sophie this year. She has developed as a driver even further. The support of BTRDA Drive's runners Motorsports Future has been brilliant and it is them that have encouraged us to continue following the program. Matt Humphris of Humphris Oxford has supported BTRDA Drive this year and we are now using one of his own Micra's for Silverstone. Without Humphris support this event would not have been possible.

Regular Autosolo competitors have observed Sophie over her three Autosolo's this year and has been very impressed by her attitude and analysis of her driving and where to improve during each course.
