Roland Uglow retained the Roy Fedden sporting trial that he won for the first time last year with his eighth win of the season, despite a slow start. George Watson took the early lead after round one dropping just four points but with a couple of mistakes on the second round Uglow's clear round saw him hold the lead at lunch with Watson dropping back to third.
Come the final round of wooded hills the top four were covered by just four points with a single point between Uglow, John Fack, Stuart Beare and Watson. Fack finished second for the third successive trial, while Beare had the best final round and finished best intermediate driver.
In fifth was Ian Wright fresh from the Historic trial the day before, while Simon Kinglsey was next having won the last three rounds. Nick Speed had a fantastic day to finish seventh and second intermediate driver just a point behind Kingsley.
The novice class was won by John Cole who finished in eleventh overall from Mike Readings. Colin Flashman had a poor day denting his ASWMC championship hopes with one round left.
