Event Report

Kingsley strikes.

David Ayres Sporting Trials
Launceston & North Cornwall MC
MSA, BTRDA, Reis ASWMC
17 starters
Marshgate, Cornwall

Following the previous days heavy rain the David Ayres was expected to be a wash out but in bright sunshine slowly dried to see Simon Kingsley win overall and end a four year period of both Cornish trials being won by the same driver. Richard Sharp led by a point after the first round from Kingsley and Jame Tancock in his historic high revving Kincraft. Kingsley soon took the lead over the next eight hills to then hold onto over the last round of eight hills. Sharp finished second with Andy Wilks climbing upto third. Roland Uglow could only manage fourth overall after a poor first round. Rookie Tancock slipped back to sixth overall as the hills dried but was still top live axle just ahead of Alan Baker. Colin Flashman once again won the independent blue class from John Cole.
