Roland Uglow continued his decimation of sporting trials winning his third event overall in eight days at the David Ayres event, and became the only fifth person to complete the Cornish weekend double. Intererstingly this has been done the last three years! Uglow led from the start on a dry day that saw conditions extremely slippery and engines screaming, and finished over twenty points clear of Jerome Fack who has spent the preceding evening repairing his cars and winning the intermediate class. The podium was completed unexpectedly by Barry Hogg with a superb drive ahead of stalwart Steve Courts. Alan Ede won the clubman category with his normal aggressive style in an equally brilliant fifth overall ahead of reigning British champion John Fack who had a poor morning but improved following the local pasties. Andy Wilks finished just a point behind as conditions dried rapidly ahead of Nick Speed and Bryan Walker and George Watson completing the top ten overall. Alan Baker won the novice class in sixteenth overall ahead of John Fox who was chasing BTRDA Allrounders points.
