Wyre Forest Trial

Event Report

Duncan Stephens won the Wyre Forest car trial for the first time, his fourth of the championship.

Early conditions proved very challenging and slippery for all. Lunchtime saw Stephens tying with two other competitors in the class, but managed to open up a lead of four points over Rupert North, who finished second overall, with Ray Jacobs dropping back to third in class and fifth overall in significantly drier conditions.

As usual Nick Pollitt won the new car class from Adrian Read to finish third overall. Dave Oliver drove superbly to drop least marks but a smaller class limited him to fourth overall.

Event Details

Considered by many to be a "must do" event, the varied and challenging "Orchard" site at Heightington has been used to good effect by Kidderminster Motor Car Club for decades.

This year's event is dedicated to the memory of Malcolm Brown, a gentleman in the car trialling world, and also to Robert Tyrrell, who was the treasurer of KMCC for many years. We miss them both.

We look forward to seeing a strong turnout for this special event.
