Wyre Forest Trial
Event Report
Steve Courts won a closely fought Wyre Forest car trial, dropping just one point over the four rounds and becoming the sixth different winner in as many events this year. He was initially pushed hard by Dave Oliver, both being clean at lunch, but Oliver slipped back in the afternoon.
Henry Kitching won the new car class, after a catastrophic eleven post on round three was hit by double British champion Mark Hoppe. Hoppe battled back to five behind and second in class. Drying conditions hindered any further progress. Trevor Moffatt sneaked third in class from Shawn Franklin on the tiebreak.
Ray Jacobs had a steady day in the front wheel drive class dropping just fifteen to beat Phil Buckle by five after he also made a small mistake during the third round.
