Matthews Auto Salvage Trial
Event Report
A select band of competitors travelled to the Isle of Anglesey and a fabulous new venue for the Matthews Auto Salvage car trial, at which Henry Kitching won his third in four events. Barrie Parker should have won overall, but a mistake on the first test cost him a maximum twelve points and any chance. However he battled back to win the class and second overall after challengers Kevin and Sion Roberts front suspension was repaired during the afternoon. Rupert North's trusty yellow Mini suffered from a lack of class competitors and had to settle for third overall and lowest marks lost. Sections proved fairly easily initially but were toughened up technically during the afternoon as the rain held off, just.
