Gaby Mohr

Event Report

Henry Kitching dominated the Gaby Mohr Car Trial near Bridgnorth to win overall, his third of the year. Initially challenged by Trevor Moffatt, who slipped back to fourth in class, before Nick Pollitt improved after a poor first round to take second in class and fourth overall. Mark Hoppe had a day to forget, salvaging third in class, just.

In the rear wheel drive class, Dave Oliver was left frustrated after two costly mistakes misreading the ground at the new venue, dropping nine points on one hill over two rounds, to allow Barrie Parker to take the class win by two points. The last event winner, Steve Courts, slipped up on the last round as sections were tightened, to allow Dick Glossop into third in class and the top ten overall.

Ray Jacobs was left to play on his own in the front wheel drive class but netted fifth overall with a consistent drive.

Event Details

The first of 3 events in September, the Gaby Mohr Trial to the west of Bridgnorth moves over the road this year to the North of the B4368 – detailed map in the SR's. A new site for us all is always interesting – no niggles (or euforia!?) from past experiences but is it the fear of the unknown for some? We shall see! Early entries will be appreciated.
