Derwydd Trial
Event Report
BTRDA Car Trial chairman Neil Mackay won the inaugural championship running of Bala Motor Club's Derwydd car trial on a low scoring day, with a stunning climb on one hill during the last round. John Wadsworth had an exceptionally good afternoon and managed to climb from fourth in class to win the new car class and achieve fifth overall from Tim Beard, whose poor last round proved costly. Simon Harris was unable to maintain his lunchtime lead over Mackay and slipped back to second in class and overall. Barrie Parker lead the rear wheel drive class all day in another close class battle, with three points separating the top three in the class to finish third overall.
