Bristol Motor Club laid out a series of open enjoyable tests for their Autosolo at Chepstow, the second round of the BTRDA Autosolo Championship. Dave Greenslade in his Mitsubishi Lancer was lucky that he could discard a disasterous first run on test 1 to take the lead which he was never to lose all day. There was a close battle behind him as the top BTRDA autosolo championship drivers battled for top honours. Liam Rollings in his Mini, Mike Biss in the MX5 and John Fox with the Clio were covered by less than a second after test 1. Rollings was fastest over the three runs of Test 2, closing on Greenslade and opening up a second lead over Biss. All changed on the third test when Rollings lost out in the rain on his last run. Fox was fourth only 0.1 seconds adrift and all the top four won their class.
